About Me
I got given a guitar when I was seven and, twenty years later I think back on that moment as one which opened up so many opportunities - not only to become a professional guitarist, but to have a hobby which can be fun, relaxing, challenging, stimulating, expressive, cathartic...
My training began in classical guitar. After sitting some exams I transferred to electric guitar in my teens. This way I gained a solid foundation in technique and theory across various styles of music. In recent years I've rounded off some skills by focusing on acoustic guitar. Through my 20s my taste in music has broadened and so have my teaching abilities. But if I had to, I'd say my favourite genres are: metal, blues, rock and pop. |
I grew up in London before moving to Amsterdam aged eighteen where I graduated from Amsterdam University College with a BA in Liberal Arts & Sciences. As a student I continued to self-teach guitar and I began performing in bars and cafes. In this time I gave my first guitar lessons and knew I wanted a career as a teacher. Since then there has been no looking back, and I have taught professionally for 6 years.
Firstly I'm a teacher but I also write, perform and record like any guitarist should. (It really is a never ending journey!) You can hear more about these projects in tandem with All In Guitar news on my socials, found on my blog page.
I'm glad to have founded All In Guitar but I'm also looking forward to its expansion and development. The mission is to increase accessibility to quality music education, which isn't limited to financial ability, but also physical or mental ability for example. I look forward to the day when more people are behind the project, reaching even more people, in new ways.
