Last week I went to see the new film, Elvis. I have to say, it was a lot of fun! Guitar may not be a key feature in the movie but it can get you really excited about rock and roll, and the blues. By living through some of Elvis' frustrations about artistic license, this film is sure to give your musical ego some stimulation to get out there and play the kind of music you love the most.
Watching it has got me playing an arrangement of Can't Help Falling in Love which I wrote for the acoustic guitar. Using fingerpicking techniques, it incorporates the vocal melody into the chords played in a romantic 6/8 metre.
